The language model AI systems continue to be developed and offer easy to access new functionality. NotebookLM from Google allow for sources to be identified and loaded for the AI system to use as detail within its answers. in my early experiments I found it to be highly effective and suspect that this will become even more powerful in the very future. I look forward to deeper integration between NotebookLM and Google Scholar.
As the new academic year begins, I am excited to once again return to Leeds Conservatoire, where I will be teaching Software Environments Performance and Sound Creation. This year, the curriculum will focus on the fascinating world of building digital instruments and interfaces within dynamic software environments. With tools like Ableton Live, Max, and ChucK the aim is to equip students with the ability to create their own digital instruments, enhancing both their creativity and technical skills.
