Rails, Rhythms and Bang
From cancelled trains to ChucK tutorials and a dash of doomsday planning
I enjoy trains, but this week my journey was derailed—literally and figuratively. My train was cancelled at a station it was never even meant to stop at. Annoying? Yes. But on the bright side, I got to explore a train station I’d never visited before. Every cloud has a railway-shaped silver lining, I suppose.
On a more harmonious note, I had great fun teaching ChucK this week. It’s a quirky, sound-focused programming language that makes making music feel like both art and science.
Oh, and I’ve also planned where I’d go in the event of a nuclear exchange (assuming I survive the first strike). You know, just casual end-of-the-world prep.
