Bye Megabus
The end of Megabus, well a reduction in service. It’s a story about how travel is changing in the UK. Those bright blue coaches that used to be a cheap way to get around are now less around.
As someone who’s traveled on Megabus late at night across the UK and even between New York and Toronto, I am not sure I could say I like them. But during train strikes prices stayed about the same.
But now Megabus is gone. Why? Is it because fewer people are traveling? Are our roads too busy? Or is this just how things are now in our tricky economy?
My teaching has finished for the term, but Bible studies are still running with a festive feel. And Christmas preparations are typical—so far, it looks like soap and socks will be the main gifts this year.
