Everest
At this time of the year, my attention often turns to happenings on Mount Everest as the climbing season starts and also ends.
I don’t really know how I feel about the known fastest ascent record targeting but people are people and if that’s your thing fair enough.
I was, however, struck by the strength and heroism of those involved in the various rescues high on the mountain. This footage is impressive.
And also the YouTube channel Everest Live was a most welcome addition this year.
The Giro has been excellent this year, the F1 race at Monaco was dull but at least they changed the rules and tried something different and Dawson’s Creek season 5 is nowhere near as bad as I remember.
Marking madness continues largely under control just a little bit longer to go.
