Getting started in January

January 10, 2025 - Scott Hewitt

January always seems to take a while to get going, and this year is no different. It’s been a slow start, but I’m gradually getting back into the routine. The festive season feels like a distant memory now, and it’s time to focus on the year ahead.

One of the more interesting things I did this week was visit the Manchester Museum for a talk called “Egyptian Gods: A Family Affair.” It was a great way to spend a lunch time, and I learned about the relationships between the different Egyptian deities. If you’re into history, I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you get the chance.

In other news, I had a productive meeting that might lead to a new podcast about education. It’s still early days, but it’s exciting to see where this could go. Education is such an important topic, and I think there’s a lot of potential for some really engaging content.

As for the weather, it’s been pretty cold here in the UK, but our heat pump has been keeping us warm. It’s one of those things that you really appreciate when the temperature drops.

So, that’s been my January so far. A bit of a slow start, but things are starting to pick up. Here’s to the rest of the month!
