So with the Graduate venue finished I spent today enjoying the unConf, a poster session and Graham Booths demo session.

Finally had a trip to the Rat and Rachet with some other delegates.

I am going to write a longer post with more detail about my experiences of the ICMC next week but want a bit of time to consider my thoughts.

So Wednesday started quietly and then got crazy.

The banquet at the Yorkshire Sculpture was really good and very enjoyable and I ended up addressing the entire conference due to my position as unConf convener which was fun.

After the banquet it was time for the second unConf Gig which was a lot of fun especially as we were programming material as the concert happened. More details online.

Today was a busy day of setup in the Graduate working to bring together the final evening performances in the Graduate. We had some problems to solve technically but me managed to fix all the problems.

At one point a lamp failed so a good kick fixed otherwise the performance went well. To finish the evening we played some Katy Perry just for fun.

And that ends the work in Graduate.

So today was a good day at ICMC 2011 the unconf was enjoyable with an interesting discussion about physical user interface though to be honest I felt that little original ground was covered. There was also a discussion about building a unified submission system which I was surprised to discover did not currently exist.

The evening concert at the graduate was very good again, though it is interesting trying to nightly reconcile the desires of the performers and the requests of the audience. I wonder if there is a need for a assigned loud concert?

Well today was the first day of the unConf which was interesting and featured some exciting discussion and exchanges. You can see a list of proposed topics from today on the unConf site.
